HJC Helmets
For forty years, HJC has been providing the consumer quality helmets that combine current technology and innovative ideas. All HJC helmets are designed to meet DOT and/or SNELL standards. If for any reason your helmet has suffered an impact even if you cannot see any damage you should no longer use it. Even a drop from 4 feet can cause sufficient damage to a helmet. What happens is that if any part of the retention system is damaged, then the level of protection has been affected. Your life is not worth taking a chance.
The line of HJC helmets include street open-face helmets, street full-face helmets, off-road helmets and snowmobile helmets. HJC offers sizes from XXS (51-52cm/20-20.5in) to XXXXXL (69-70cm/27.25-27 5/8in) for adults. For youth riders, the sizes range from youth S (49-50cm/19.25-19.75in) to youth L/XL (51-52cm/20-20.5in). You should never use anyone else's helmet because helmet's can conform to the owner's head. If it doesn't fit correctly, the level of protection dramatically decreases.
Whether you want a full-faced helmet for racing or a flip-up, a helmet without a visor or one with a tinted visor, if you want it in a matte black (which can be found on the HJC IS-2) or a cool pattern with a pink base (like on the HJC IS-16 Arkanium) there is a helmet for everyone's taste and will fit in anyone's budget. HJC encourages all motorcyclists to attend a motorcycle riding school to ensure that the basic skills needed to ride successfully in the dirt and on the road. Always wear a helmet and the appropriate safety gear such as goggles, gloves, shin guards and boots when riding. Never wear shorts and sandals because these will not provide any coverage if an accident occurs.
It is easy to ride off without a helmet. This is not a brilliant idea and with the wide selection and price points of the HJC helmets available, there is no reason for anyone to not have and wear a helmet. The basic concept of a helmet cannot be changed, but the style and performance can be.
Don't take your helmet for granted and don't drop your helmet. It should be cleaned on a regular basis; you don't need to use any special cleaners on the shield as warm soapy water and a soft cloth will do just fine. If you want to apply a rain-shield product such as Rain-X you can just make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions. Using rain-shield products are not recommended for the RST mirrored shield so instead use warm, soapy water and a soft cloth.
